After wearing these boots to the airport for two flights- I can tell you these are the perfect cold-weather flying boots=Easy on/off at security and kept my feet warm while flying. The calf circumference measurement of 16" appears to be smaller than that, but with wear- it should stretch out some more. I have huge calves and was worried about the fit but seems to be okay due to the way the closures work. The elastic band gives quite a bit without feeling like it will break. The stitching across the top of the foot does create a weird pressure on the top of my foot but thick socks cushion it. The foot-bed is not as comfy feeling as my UGGS, but I would buy again.

These are excellent value for money. I am a 6 so ordered a 7 as I read in previous reviews that they are small fitting, glad I did as the 7 fits perfectly. I was looking for a cheap pair of flat boots for walking dog / school runs in winter, and I was very pleasantly surprised by these. They are comfortable with good grip and the faux fur lining makes them really cosy.
